Racing: For the notebook: A weekly list of horses to follow:
AMERICAN SWINGER: easy winner at York on Thursday despite being out of the handicap. Looks much improved this year. (P Harris)
HOH MAGIC: broke the course record when making a winning debut in a juvenile maiden at Nottingham on Friday. Held in high regard by a stable which has already produced the smart Princely Hush among its two-year-olds and will not be out of place in the Queen Mary Stakes. (M Bell)
MOCASSIN RUN: finished among some Classic also-rans when a close fifth behind Mutakddim in a sprint at Newbury on Friday, his first run since making a successful debut in a Listed race at Epsom last June. Six subsequent winners were among the seven rivals behind him then and he looks a certain future winner himself. (I Balding)
OVERBROOK: overcame a slow debut start to finish on the heels of Limerick Belle's record-breaking run at Newbury on Friday, in front of some previous winners. Was sent off joint favourite and better things can be expected after this experience. (I Balding)
PTOTO: seemed to improve when tackling 12 furlongs for the first time at Brighton on Thursday, beating Karttikeya by a wider margin than when the two met in his previous race at Pontefract. Can now make good the promise of his juvenile efforts. (L Cumani)
