GRANGE CHIEF: belied odds of 66-1 when bustling up the market leaders until falling in novice hurdle won by Top Spin at Kempton on Friday, on first outing since September. This ex-Arthur Stephenson gelding should be straighter next time. (O Sherwood)

OVERLORD: took Towcester novice hurdle on seasonal debut on Friday, making good promise shown in flat races last spring, when he ran fifth to Large Action and in the Festival bumper. Further success seems assured. (W Muir)
