Kulwinder Phull, 27, from India, was facing deportation after the Court of Appeal ruled that she had no legal right to stay in Britain even though she is married to a UK citizen and her 17-month-old son is also British. She had argued that deportation would infringe the family's rights as EU citizens under the Maastricht treaty.
