Outlook So Microsoft is working on a new bid for Yahoo, in conjunction with private equity? Doesn't it learn? It had a lucky escape in 2008 and has done better out of a search-engine partnership instead.

It did not need to buy a piece of Yahoo's collapsing web publishing business then, and it does not now.
