The City firm Jaques & Lewis has joined forces with the national practice Eversheds. According to Eversheds' national managing partner, Peter Cole, the move comes after the firm had "satisfied a number of clear internal and development criteria w hich wehad set ourselves, one of which was attracting a strong London firm".

With Jaques & Lewis on board, Eversheds now has 270 partners, 950 fee earners and more than 80 public limited company clients.
