Some of the things that almost killed me in week one were a lot easier this week. Already, I'm feeling the benefits of the programme. It has actually become relatively therapeutic now - not just about exercise and pain. My next objective is to start increasing the distances I am running.
We've been eating less wheat and drinking less alcohol and caffeine. It's been quite hard - I've been craving cups of tea during the day, which is ridiculous! Typical meals are based around wheat-alternative staples such as salads, rice and fish. Combined with the exercise, it has definitely made me feel different. I am a lot sharper in the mornings, and I can actually stay awake for most of the day now. On the other hand, I don't see this thing as being a permanent life change - I have to go back to the pub at some point!
