A prison movie – in space! The year is 2079, the jail an experimental facility where 500 of earth's most horrible crims are kept, artificially asleep.
Now, wouldn't the US President's daughter Emilie (Maggie Grace) arrive on a humanitarian mission the very day there's a mass break-out? With killers and rapists running amok, the authorities send in crack agent Snow (Guy Pearce, beefed-up) with orders to rescue Emilie alone.
Echoes of Die Hard are unignorable as Pearce wisecrackingly eludes every attempt by the vicious cons to catch him. It's strictly B-movie material, played at an agreeably brisk clip and not without a few laughs.
