Fortniteservers are back up after experiencing downtime in order to implement the latest patch 13.30 for the hit battle royale game.
Developers Epic Games announced the downtime earlier this morning, with the server going offline at 9am BST.
On Twitter, Fortnite announced that the update would herald “another wave of Summer Splash LTMs and more”.
After the update is implemented, players can update their game by downloading patch 13.30 and logging back into their game accounts.
Epic Games also noted that the patch would be larger than usual on Nintendo Switch consoles, although didn’t confirm what size this would be.
On Twitter, Fortnite confirmed that "downtime for v13.30 has ended", and that players could "dive back into the fight".
Fortnite recently launched a major new update as it entered its aquatic-themed chapter two, season three story.
Chapter two, season three adds the ability to hitch rides around the map on sharks, and brought with it new character skins, weapons, and more.
We’re beginning to disable services in preparation for v13.30. If you’re currently in a session, you can continue to play until downtime starts at approx. 4 AM ET (08:00 UTC).
