Style is emotional not seasonal so I dress according to my mood. I'm quite daring – there's nothing I won't wear. I have old favourites that I mix with the new. I got a great 1970s three-piece man's suit from Oxfam ( www.oxfam.org.uk) that I wear all the time with other vintage clothes from Rellik ( www.rellik.co.uk) or pieces from Future Classics ( www.futureclassicsfashion.com). Every year on my birthday my husband buys me a pair of Manolos from the Maria Luisa boutique in Paris (00 331 4703 9615).

As a shoe designer, people are always looking at your feet so I spend lots on nail polish from Nails Inc ( www.nailsinc.com) and pedicures at Janet Ginning's Mayfair salon (020 7499 1904).

Everyone can experiment with their style and shoes are a great place to start. It doesn't matter what age or size you are, you can put on a pair of bright red shoes and have a Dorothy moment.

Georgina's new shop opens on 12 April at 44 Old Bond St, London W1, www.georginagoodman.com
