If you’re searching for things to get excited about, Easter weekend is thankfully just around the corner – this year it’s from 2–5 April. Not only does the holiday mean we get two extra days off work, but it also provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a range of delicious food.

Whether you’re partial to a novelty Easter egg, M&S’s egg-cellent range of hampers and gift bags, or are looking to create your very own DIY Easter cottage made from Dairy Milk and Mini Eggs, there’s plenty on offer. But what if we told you that Cadbury has outdone itself yet again this year?

Not only has it launched Cadbury Worldwide Hide, a global, virtual Easter egg hunt that allows you to hide eggs in secret locations using Google Maps and send clues to loved ones, but it’s also now released a new cookbook.

Following the success of its Creme Egg cookbook, Cadbury has hatched into new territories with a Mini Eggs version. Inside you’ll find 60 recipes including rocky road, blondies, cupcakes and pavlova, providing a fun way to keep entertained over the long weekend.

This year’s celebration may be different due to lockdown restrictions (although they are due to be slightly relaxed) and at-home celebrations will remain the order of the day. So why not send a copy to a loved one and challenge them to a bake-off via Zoom?

What a cracking discovery in time for Easter! Cadbury has given some of our all-time favourite recipes a Mini Eggs twist, and we’re here for it. Split into four categories – tray bakes and cakes; sweet treats, cookies and fun snacks; breakfast and brunches; and desserts – there will be plenty to keep you busy over the Easter weekend and beyond. And you can expect recipes for everything from milkshakes and peanut butter cups to rocky roads and blondies.

According to Amazon, this is its number one bestseller in its cooking for babies and children section, so we’d hazard a guess that this is a great choice for baking with kids. With Easter holidays on the horizon, this offers one way to keep them occupied.

If the Mini Eggs chocolate bar (£1, Asda.com), which was a serious hit with us, is anything to go by, we can’t wait to get our hands on the cookbook and give everything a try.
