  • EasyJet has added extra flights from London Gatwick and Manchester, but prices remain high, exceeding £700 for one-way tickets on certain dates.
  • Alternatives to flying directly to Bilbao include flying to Biarritz, France, and taking a train or bus to Bilbao. This option, involving a connecting flight through Basel, can be significantly cheaper.
  • Other travel options include rail via Paris and Hendaye, a long coach journey with Flixbus, or a ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao.
  • Driving is also possible, with ferry crossings from Newhaven or Portsmouth, followed by a long drive through France to the Spanish border.
