Wes Anderson has revealed he repeatedly tried to cast Jodie Foster in his films, approaching her for roles in three or four consecutive movies, but was unsuccessful.
Anderson expressed his admiration for Foster, highlighting her talent, and mentioned her directorial debut, Little Man Tate.
Despite past rejections, Anderson said he would still like to work with Jodie Foster, acknowledging that timing and the type of work she seeks might not have aligned in the past.
At Cannes, Anderson humorously commented on Donald Trump’s plan to impose steep tariffs on films made outside America, expressing confusion over the economic implications.
