Eight squatters have moved into a north London library and started lending out books again.

Friern Barnet library was closed down by Barnet council in April.

Following new rules outlawing squatting in residential properties, the group of eight entered the building through an open window.

They have been negotiating with the council to open the library four days a week on a volunteer basis.
